Lorrie Ann Valencia attended the University of Arizona and Fort Lewis College where she pursued a major in biology and minor in psychology. She received her practical nursing training from San Juan Basin Vo-Technical School and her Associates Degree of Nursing from Pueblo Community College in Durango. Straight out of nursing school she worked for Mercy Regional Medical Center (MRMC), Four Corners Health Care Center, and private-duty home health care. Recently, Lorrie worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for Axis Health System and has also been involved in private alcohol and drug screening for insurance companies throughout the four corners region. Lorrie is very committed to the integrated care approach to health.
Lorrie also feels being tri-ethnic, lends to a greater understanding of all the different races and cultures which make up our rich area. She looks forward to using her vast local connections with healthcare providers to educate and bring hyperbaric oxygen therapy to a greater number of people that otherwise would not able to access this impactful healthcare treatment.
