The SPORTS OPTIMIZATION track included presentations on Using Hyperbarics to Enhance Your Athletic Performance by Tracy Warhop, ND, CHHP & Joseph Dituri PhD, CDR, USN. Hyperbarics Role in Athletic Management and Performance by Paul Johnson, MD. Hyperbaric Therapy and Athletes by Allen Meglin, MD. In addition, there were two separate panel discussions with hyperbaric providers and professional athletes using hyperbarics.
Following the Sports Optimization track was a presentation on Updated Research Findings by Jason Sonners, DC, PhD, FMHC.
The second day started with CLINICAL APPLICATIONS OF HYPERBARICS beginning with Hydration for Optimal Oxygen Delivery by Courtney Benjamin, PhD. Followed by The Role of HBOT in Sudden Sensorial Hearing Lossby Olga Aguilers, MD, FMHC. K Paul Stoller, MD, FACHM, FACP then delivered a presentation on Hyperbaric Medicine: Repairing Pediatric Brain Injury. The Role of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in Long COVID was covered by Elizabeth Mumper, MD, Infectious disease expert.
In the afternoon Trillitye Paullin, PhD presented From Oxygen to Omics: Aligning HBOT Mechanisms with Biologics for Wound Repair.
On Saturday the morning track took us to CELLULAR RESILIENCE. The opening was provided by Ben Azadi, FDN-P author of Metabolic Freedom and founder of Keto Kamp. Ben’s dynamic presentation was followed by Diving for Answers to Immune Dysfunction by James Neuenschwander, MD, FMAPS. Which focused on conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Autism. Hyperbaric Oxygen & Cellular Resilience was delivered by Alexander Borsund, MD, ABLM, FMHC. The morning track was completed by Allen Meglin, MD speaking on The Science of Stem Cells.
The final track was MENTAL HEALTH & NEUROPLASTICITY. Michael Trayford, DC, DACNB, BCN offered Functional Neurology and mild HBOT with a focus on brain injuries. Next up was Kathleen O’Neil Smith, MD, FAARM speaking on Brainspan, Neuroplasticity & The benefits of HBOT. After our last break Melissa Sonners, DC, DACCP, CACCP discussed The New Pathway to Mental Resilience. The topic of The Role Hyperbarics Plays in Neuroinflammation & It’s Effect on the Immune System was offered by Anju Usman Singh, MD, FAAFP, FMAPS. This presentation also discussed mold, atopic dermatitis, and ulcerative colitis
It is important to note that ALL the presentations were supported by a plethora of RESEARCH regarding the use of HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY, HBOT.
